Jack's Surgery

Everything went just as planned for Jack's Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy, and Ear Tubes Surgery. Click the links to learn about the surgery from other sites. On the way to the surgical facility he told us he was going to be brave. He said "...if I cut myself I will cry , but if the doctor cuts me I will be brave". And he was! The surgery went very quickly, the Dr. was done in about 15 min. After the surgery he had the usual complaints of throat pain and IV (in his hand) pain. He was coughing and crying which was to be expected. They had to give him some strong pain medication and a sedative to calm down. We went in at 6 AM and left around 9:30 AM. He is home now and doing very well. He wants to get up and run all over the place but they told us not to let him for a few days. It's hard to keep a 4 year old down. They've been telling us the 5th-8th days will be the most painful for him, so we're bracing ourselves.

Larry and Gloria's visit

This weekend Larry and Gloria came up from Florida to visit and pick up a car that Ed/Larry refurbbished. The girls went shopping at IKEA, while the guys did car stuff and worked.
