Jack's 4th birthday!

Jack turned 4 on July 22! He been getting presents spread out over 2-3 weeks. When Kathy Diffin (Grandma) was here he got this cool bike. The night before he got new "Cars" themed sheets for his bed. That night, Memo (his great grandmother) came over and spend the night to celebrate to next day. We went to Mickey D's upon jacks request to play on the play park. (Sidenote: I tried that Asian Salad as a healthly alternative and it was quite good.) Jack found of pictures of cakes he liked but he did not want any of them for his birthday. After lunch Cindi made a cake based on Jacks exact description of what he wanted. So what you see here is exactly what he wanted and he was very happy with the white cake with spinkles, white frosting, strawberry's and gummy worms. YUM!

We also had a great time visiting and talking with Memo!

From a 2-seater Honda convertible to a Honda minivan!

We really could see ourselves using a 3rd row quite a bit so that's what we had our hopes for. We seriously considered a 2006 Ford Freestyle to buck the minivan/SUV crowd with a crossover but it was considerably smaller with less features and we were not sure on the resale value.

The same day we looked at the Freestyle (7/11/06) we got a new vehicle that fits our current lifestyle and we love it! It should last several years to come. It's a 2003 Honda Odyssey EXL. It's loaded with leather, power everything and even a DVD player. It only has 45k miles on it and it's got some great pep with 19/26 MPG. We bought it ironically from Cobb County Toyota after seeing what most of Atlanta had to offer. The kids absolutely love it. This was the top one on our list that was a wishful, so we are excited as you can get about getting a minivan. So the next time the Montgomery family come sees you we will riding the Oydssey!
