Del Sol is SOLD! The hunt is on!

It was sold to the first person who saw it in less than 24 hours for $150 less than asking price. $5350. We were expecting to ask for $5500 and get $5000. So were happy. It reminds us when we sold our house in Duluth. The first person who saw it bought it in a couple of days. I don't think the price for either was too low it's probably just due to the presentation and honesty when selling both that made it appealing.

Now the search for another car is on even more. After going through the Consumer Reports ratings for used cars we have narrowed it down to this list in no particular order. All offer 3rd row row seating and got at least a good or above average rating with Consumer Reports. This is a must for us for a number of reasons I won't get into but, our thinking is if your going to get a 4 passenger SUV or wagon you might as well get a sedan with fold down seats and save on fuel economy. Speaking of which we are not opposed to getting a E85 compatible, or hybrid it's just that were find they are out of our price range and there are few if any with 3rd row seating.

We hear that most Minivans don't do well after 100K miles so of course we are looking for low miles and fuel efficiency. We are looking to spend no more than $15,000 with payments but we could squeeze by with a $10K vehicle with very little or no payments.

All you car guys out there want to give us any insight or tips it would be much appreciated.

Our Honda Del Sol is for sale

Well folks I hate to see it go but with two kids this wonderful car is just not practical for us any longer. After Cindi having a flat in downtown Atlanta a couple of weeks ago with the kids I could not go pick up the kids and help her out with our second car. She and the kids were on the side of the road for about 4 hours until a HERO unit finally came after several un-kept promises. It was a bad situation and of course hindsight is 20/20. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

We’re officially selling our 1995 Honda Del Sol as of today. It’s one of those sought after cars and we hope to give her a nice home at the right price. So if you know anyone in the market send them this link.

We are also now officially in the the market for hopefully a 6+ passenger used vehicle. We have been researching for quite some time and considering several cars not limited to Honda Odyssey, Honda Pilot, Mazda MPV, Nissan Quest, or anything else that fits the bill. If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know.
