Things that made our life easier in 2005

Here is a list, in no particular order, of mainly home improvements that made the Montgomery life a little easier and better. I think it's good to look back to see all that you have acomplished before you look ahead.

1. We expanded/leveled our backyard, created a child and ball barrier, filled in small valleys and dips in side and backyard with over 15 loads of free delivered wood chips. Spread out by Larry Gardinier Sr. and I.

2. I painted inside and out of kitchen cabinets to match white in the rest of the kitchen and new hardware for a cleaner and more updated look.

3. I created this very cheap family website/blog that Cindi and I can update independently.

4. Larry Gardinier Sr., Kids and I created a pool/firepit area in back.

5. We got rid of matt boards and other garbage in garage reducing mold and mildew.

6. Electricians installed 2 additional exterior outlets and 1 interior garage switch and outlet for easier use with electric yard tools and lights.

7. Electricians installed ceiling lights in living room, solving dark areas and need for floor lamps.

8. Electricians installed a remote control ceiling fan with light in master bedroom for better sleeping and added a over head light.

9. Jack was potty trained finally and we all know how good that is.

10. Suzanne started preshool giving her a much needed outlet for play time with other kids her age and a great boost in learning to read, write, and do simple math. This could be a whole blog post in itself so more later.

11. We got a laptop computer for Cindi and kids. Also use it for my work when traveling. Also got a mouse for easier use for kids.

12. Got rid of digital cable TV in the Summer and only miss a couple of channels and guide. Saving $60 a month.

13. Former neighbors adopted our Dog of 1 year Lucy so that Jack cannot be allergic by her dander. The Taylors love Lucy and we can see her if we really want to.

14. Unsubscribed to Netflix in the Summer and saving $15 a month.

15. We got new white leather sofa/bed found by Cindi. Easier for company, come visit!

16. We got a new stove/oven, which wastes less food and caused much less frustration in cooking. Cindi immediately became a better cook, not that she was a bad cook before.

17. Cindi and I installed new parquet floors in main living area for easier cleaning and reduced allergens, mold and mildew.

18. We got a new Digital camera for better reference shots and family photos.

So now we look forward to 2006 with all it's challenges, events, and other things that make our life easier. I encourage you to do the same and post a response to this post telling us what you did to make your life easier in 2005.
